Dig-Ad™ · Search Engine Marketing

More Intelligence Behind Every Search. More Value From Every Advertising Dollar.

Search engine marketing is the foundation of the intice360° digital advertising strategy. We focus our paid search resources exclusively on Google Ads because concentration produces better results than fragmentation — every dollar must have a purpose, every campaign a measurable objective, every click a path closer to the dealership.

Why intice Focuses Exclusively on Google Ads

Concentration Beats Fragmentation

Google provides access to shoppers throughout the automotive purchase journey — from early vehicle research to individual inventory searches and dealership selection. Rather than dividing a dealer's search budget among multiple platforms, we concentrate the investment within Google's advertising ecosystem and use campaign-level controls, placement reporting, exclusions, and brand-suitability settings to maintain greater visibility into where advertising is being delivered.

No Single Campaign Type Covers Every Shopping Behavior

We build a coordinated Google Ads account structure using multiple campaign types, each with a specific role in the customer journey.

  • Performance Max campaigns
  • Vehicle Ads and inventory-driven campaigns
  • Responsive Search Ads
  • Dynamic offer and specials synchronization
  • AI-powered Smart Bidding
  • Automotive micro-moment targeting
  • GA4 conversion measurement
  • Continuous campaign optimization

Performance Max

The Multi-Asset Campaign Engine

Performance Max — commonly called PMax — is one of the primary campaign types within the intice360° Google Ads strategy. We describe PMax as a bucket-based campaign system: instead of one rigid advertisement, we provide Google with a carefully developed collection of advertising assets, and Google's AI assembles and delivers different ad combinations based on the shopper, context, placement, and likelihood of conversion.

  • Short and long headlines
  • Descriptions
  • Dealership logos
  • Vehicle and lifestyle images
  • Video assets
  • Sitelinks and callouts
  • Promotional messages
  • Audience signals
  • Landing-page URLs
  • Inventory or product data

Performance Max can reach customers across Google Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail, and Maps from a unified campaign structure — but it should never be treated as a black box. Our team actively manages campaign segmentation, creative assets, audience signals, search themes, landing pages, geographic targeting, exclusions, conversion goals, and bidding strategy, using Google's channel and placement reporting to understand how campaigns are distributing traffic and producing results. Automation provides scale. Strategy provides direction.

Vehicle Ads

Connecting Shoppers Directly to Inventory

Vehicle Ads are among the most important lower-funnel components of our automotive search strategy. These inventory-driven advertisements are built for consumers actively searching for vehicles, displaying a vehicle image along with year, make, model, trim, price, mileage, dealership name, promotional pricing, and monthly payment information where supported. When the customer clicks the advertisement, the shopper is taken directly to the corresponding Vehicle Details Page on the dealership's website — no generic intermediary page, no unnecessary detour.

A Direct Inventory Connection Through Google Merchant Center

Effective Vehicle Ads begin with accurate inventory data. intice provides vehicle data to the Google Merchant ecosystem, creating a direct connection between the dealership's live inventory, the intice360° website, Google Merchant Center, Google Ads, and the shopper's vehicle search. Incorrect prices, missing images, inconsistent availability, or mismatched vehicle details can reduce eligibility and weaken campaign performance — our objective is to ensure the information submitted to Google closely matches what's on the dealership website.

Separate Campaigns for Greater Control

We generally keep inventory-driven campaigns separate from broader PMax campaigns, giving our team greater control over budgets, new-versus-used allocation, bidding strategies, geographic targets, conversion objectives, inventory categories, and make/model segmentation. A Honda dealer may need separate strategies for new Honda inventory, certified Honda inventory, used vehicles, and specific high-priority models. An Acura dealer may need to emphasize RDX, MDX, or Integra inventory based on supply, sales objectives, and local demand. The campaign architecture should reflect the dealership's actual business — not a generic template.

  • New vehicle campaigns
  • Used vehicle campaigns
  • Certified pre-owned campaigns
  • Individual franchise or make campaigns
  • Model-specific campaigns
  • High-priority inventory campaigns
  • Aged-inventory campaigns
  • Promotional inventory campaigns

Responsive Search Ads

Capturing Active Search Demand

Responsive Search Ads, or RSAs, are the modern version of traditional pay-per-click text advertising, appearing when a consumer searches for relevant terms and Google determines the dealership's ad is eligible for the auction. For each RSA, we can provide up to 15 headlines and four descriptions, plus sitelinks, call assets, location assets, image assets, promotional assets, and price and structured-snippet assets. Google's systems test different combinations to determine which messages are most relevant to different searches — the ad is dynamic, but the strategy behind the assets remains deliberate, built around dealership advantages, inventory, offers, geographic relevance, and model demand.

Dynamic Specials Synchronization

When Advertising and Website Content Are Never Out of Sync

Lease payments change. APR programs change. Incentives expire. When advertising and website content are managed separately, inconsistencies are almost inevitable — an ad promoting one offer while the landing page shows another. intice360° addresses this through a connected content and advertising ecosystem: as specials are created or updated, the information flows across every surface at once.

  • Homepage sliders
  • Promotional banners
  • Model landing pages
  • Specials pages
  • SEO content
  • AI-discovery content
  • Google Ads landing-page URLs
  • Responsive Search Ad messaging
  • Campaign-level promotional assets

Smart Bidding

Machine Learning With Human Direction

Google Smart Bidding uses Google AI to optimize bids for conversions or conversion value at auction time, evaluating signals available during each individual auction that a person adjusting a single keyword bid manually never could. Automation does not mean set-it-and-forget-it — the effectiveness of an automated bidding strategy depends entirely on the quality of the information supplied to the system. Google's algorithms handle millions of potential signal combinations; our job is to define the correct objective, supply dependable data, establish appropriate guardrails, and continuously evaluate the output.

Built Around Automotive Micro-Moments

Automotive Shopping Is a Sequence, Not One Search

Google's automotive research identified five major shopping moments. Our strategy aligns Tier 3 dealership advertising with the broader Tier 1 OEM and Tier 2 regional messaging consumers may already have encountered, maintaining relevance as the customer moves from research to final deal evaluation.

1. Which Car Is Best?

Comparing brands, segments, models, features, and reviews — "Best midsize SUV," "Honda CR-V vs. Toyota RAV4."

2. Is It Right for Me?

Evaluating fit — passenger capacity, cargo room, fuel economy, safety, towing capacity, family suitability.

3. Can I Afford It?

Evaluating payment and financing — "Honda Accord lease payment," "SUV under $500 per month," trade-in value.

4. Where Should I Buy It?

Evaluating dealerships, proximity, reputation, and inventory — "Honda dealer near me," "best-rated Honda dealer."

5. Am I Getting a Good Deal?

Comparing pricing, incentives, and value — "Best Honda lease deals," "current manufacturer incentives."

A Tier 3 Strategy Built for Franchise Dealers

Supporting, Not Duplicating, Tier 1 and Tier 2

Tier 1 advertising creates national brand and vehicle awareness. Tier 2 supports regional or dealer-association objectives. Tier 3 advertising must convert that broader market interest into a local dealership opportunity — which means the account can't operate in isolation.

  • OEM messaging
  • Regional advertising
  • Current incentives
  • Local inventory
  • Dealership sales history
  • Top-performing ZIP codes
  • Competitive dealerships
  • Market geography
  • Model demand
  • Defector sales
  • Pump-in and pump-out activity
  • Dealership-specific advantages

Geographic Intelligence

Geography Based on Evidence, Not a Radius Dropdown

A dealership's primary market is rarely a perfect radius around the showroom. Before recommending a strategy, intice can evaluate up to 36 months of dealership sales data to identify the ZIP codes responsible for the majority of the dealership's business, then analyze those areas for:

  • Historical sales concentration
  • Population and household density
  • Vehicle ownership
  • Demographic characteristics
  • Competitive presence
  • Market share
  • Distance and drive patterns
  • Franchise overlap
  • Growth opportunity

Conversion Measurement

Clicks Aren't the Finish Line

The dealership's Google Ads account is directly linked with its GA4 property, creating a complete view of the customer journey from advertisement to website engagement to conversion. Not every event should be treated equally — our measurement strategy differentiates general activity from high-value conversion behavior, so Google's bidding systems are trained toward meaningful dealership outcomes, not inflated activity counts.

Optimization Score: Account Hygiene With Strategic Oversight

intice actively monitors the Google Ads Optimization Score and works to maintain dealership accounts at or near 100%. Google calculates the score in real time using account statistics, settings, campaign status, and available recommendations — but maintaining a high score does not mean blindly accepting every recommendation. Our team reviews each one and either applies it when it supports the strategy, modifies the account in a more appropriate way, or dismisses it when it conflicts with the dealer's objectives. The goal is not to chase a number; it's to maintain an account that's current, actively managed, and technically aligned with best practices while preserving the dealership's strategic priorities.

The Dealer Transparency Test

Dealers should know what's happening inside their advertising accounts. When evaluating a Google Ads provider, ask these questions.

Can you log in to your own Google Ads account?

The dealership should have direct access to the account where its campaigns, history, spend, and performance data reside. With intice, the answer is yes.

Can you see the actual media spend?

The dealership should be able to distinguish between advertising investment and management fees. intice applies zero markup to Google Ads media spend.

Is Google Ads directly linked to the dealership's GA4 property?

This connection is essential for measurement, audience development, and understanding post-click behavior.

Is the account actively managed?

Review the change history, campaign structure, current assets, conversion configuration, and recommendation activity.

Is the Optimization Score being reviewed?

A low score doesn't automatically prove poor performance, and a high score doesn't guarantee results — but a neglected recommendation panel can indicate an account isn't being consistently maintained.

Can the provider explain the strategy?

Why each campaign exists, how the budget is distributed, what conversions guide bidding, how geography was selected, how inventory is segmented, and how performance is being evaluated. If the strategy can't be explained, it may not truly be a strategy.

Zero Markup on Google Ads Spend

The Advertising Budget Is the Advertising Budget

No mystery math. No hidden percentage added to the media. No need to rely exclusively on a separate reporting dashboard to understand what's happening.

  • Direct account access
  • Visible campaign activity
  • Direct Google Ads billing
  • Transparent media spend
  • GA4 integration
  • Measurable conversion data
  • Clear campaign architecture
  • Ongoing strategic management
